About Yukon Latin Dance
We started our dance journey in Vancouver BC, practicing several styles of dance, across two decades. After moving to the Yukon, we decided to share our passion with the rest of the residents here. Our ultimate and selfish goal is to create a thriving Latin dance community, so we can keep dancing with all of you!
Melissa started her journey almost 20 years ago, through a Latin Dance Club in highschool. Fast forward many years, she has specialized in Salsa on 2 (Mambo), established herself in the BC dance scene and has shared her passion through social dancing, teaching and many performances. Gleb got his start about 7 years ago in the ballroom dance scene. While out social dancing, he developed a special interest in Latin partner dancing. Due to its liveliness, flavor, and captivating melodies, he decided to make a permanent switch into the world of Salsa and Bachata. Together we’re excited to bring you the world of Latin partner dancing. We hope that you’ll join us on this exciting journey and become a wonderful dancer in your own right!
